Rata Health provides an online electronic facility as an alternative to telephone access for patients wanting to request repeat prescriptions. for our registered patients, This service allows you to request regular medications instead of seeing your General Practitioner.

To ensure prescribing is appropriate and responsible our doctors are ultimately accountable for any repeat prescriptions therefore it is their decision whether to provide additional medication when due. It is best practice all medications require ongoing monitoring to ensure they are being effective and not producing any detrimental side effects.

Only patients registered with our medical centre may request prescriptions through this website.

 Repeat prescriptions for regular medications may be given at the Doctors discretion if your condition is stable and you have last seen the doctor within a reasonable time.

Repeat prescriptions will be ready 48 hours after we receive your request although there will be a delay over weekends and public holidays.  

Fees for prescriptions apply for both those collected from the clinic or send directly to the pharmacy. There is an additional charge for scripts required urgently:

The primary purpose of the e-mail communication is to request a repeat prescription.  No personal health details or sensitive information or concerns are to be included in the e-mail communication. these concerns are to be dealt with by speaking directly to one of our Practice Nurse’s or making an appointment to see your Doctor.

All prescription requests need to be completed on the online prescription request.
An automated response will be sent to the patient once the request has been actioned advising them that the prescription will be processed within 48hrs.

Rata Health will reply to email requests and accepts no responsibility for any privacy issues that may arise with other people having access to the patients email account.  Email communication will only be used in association with a patient generated request and not as a routine method of communication and will include no personal or sensitive health information.

Rata Health reserves the right to terminate the e-mail relationship with any patient that does not adhere to the user agreement.
